Leadership is all about alpha behavior, right? Focused, aggressive, territorial. Ruthless, yet effective. Or so goes conventional wisdom…

The thing about conventional wisdom is that it’s often lowest common denominator.

The reality is that the best leadership behavior is a little counter intuitive. It requires more introspection and emotional connection . It’s less about beating your chest and forcing your will on people.

It’s about bringing out the best in people, the best in your organization.

If you can do that, you can lead a team anywhere you need to go.

If you have an apple and I have an apple and we exchange these apples then you and I will still each have one apple. But if you have an idea and I have an idea and we exchange these ideas, then each of us will have two ideas.

This growth trend in smartphone penetration does not seem ready to abate any time soon.  An 11-point growth in 12 months is rather impressive as well.

The Internet takes over the World

Hmmm… I started fiddling with Internet technologies (UNIX and TCP/IP) at university in maybe 1986, started to work and spread it to Volvo in 1988, started the first web server at Volvo i april 1994 and initiated the work that resulted in volvo.com in 1995. It has been an interesting journey!
